Happy New Year!
Updated: Feb 3
We promise you can continue to count on the team at Boudeweel Public Affairs to help you make sense of Québec’s political landscape in 2023.
2022 was a year of many ups and downs for Québec, the rest of Canada and the global community. While we all struggled through economic uncertainty fueled by the war in Ukraine, we also welcomed the easing of pandemic restrictions that kept us from being able to gather together for so long.
Through all the challenges of the past year, we at Boudeweel Public Affairs were endlessly inspired by the resilience and determination of our team members, clients and partners — and it was our honour and privilege to help the English-speaking business community keep on top of the eventful year in Québec politics.
In August 2022 we proudly launched our Québec Now newsletter: Initially this was a weekly newsletter providing analysis of the 2022 Québec election campaign, its trends, and potential policy outcomes for English-speaking Canadians.
After Election Day on Oct. 3, we continued to provide our readers with critical post-campaign commentary, including insights into:
The decisive re-election of Premier François Legault’s Coalition Avenir Québec government and what their return to power means for Canada;
Key takeaways from the premier’s new cabinet appointments;
The fractured state of opposition forces in the National Assembly;
Government priorities revealed in Premier Legault’s inaugural speech; and
The economic update from Québec's finance minister.
Our new year’s resolution
This year we remain committed to helping you navigate Québec’s complex and constantly evolving political environment with our Québec Now newsletter. Here’s what subscribers can continue to expect in 2023:
A regular round-up of significant provincial government activities.
Insider insights into Québec's political landscape.
Ongoing analysis of key issues for English-speaking Canadians.
Thanks to our hard-working and well-connected team, we promise you’ll never miss any major political developments in Québec that might matter to your business operations in the province, or echo throughout the rest of the country.
We look forward to keeping you informed and helping you make sense of Québec politics over the coming year — and we invite you to reach out anytime to find out how else we can support your goals for 2023 and beyond: boudeweel.com/contact-us
